The Pre Wedding " Una Finestra sul Lago" is an opportunity to greet our guests already
in town – you are welcome to join and spend the evening with us.
We recommend staying on Lake Como for the weekend. You may also want to consider accommodations in Lugano, Switzerland which is just a 30-40min drive from the wedding events.

an Italian evening of cocktails, wood-fire piza and lakeside charm.

MXP AIRPORT
Milan Malpensa (MXP) is the closest airport to both Lake Como and Lugano
Lake Como is ~30min from MXP and Lugano is approx 1h from MXP
MXP TO COMO
Bus, train, taxi and rental cars are all good options to go to Como - click here for more information - and a few things to keep in mind are:
Taxi: depending on where you stay on Lake Como, the price of the taxi can change significantly
Train: there is no direct train and you will have to change to another train or a bus
GETTING AROUND LAKE COMO
The roads around Como are very small and curvy: they can be fun to drive but can also be a
little treacherous - be careful! If you are renting a car, consider renting a smaller vehicle.
Another option is to move by boat around the lake. Some hotels have private boats that you
can use as taxi - these can be quite convenient but also a little pricey
MXP TO LUGANO
Bus: This is the most convenient option to go from MXP to Lugano. Shuttle buses run approx each hour.
Taxi: If you are staying in Lugano, we recommend organizing a taxi via your hotel in Switzerland.
Rental car: The airport has many car rentals options and you can easily drive into Switzerland.
Make sure to let the car rental company know that you will drive outside of Italy to ensure insurance coverage
We recommend staying on Lake Como for the weekend. You may also want to consider accommodations in Lugano, Switzerland which is just a 30-40min drive from the wedding events.
It is very easy to cross the border Switzerland-Italy by car, train or taxi but don't forget your passport!
Exploring the Area
There are two areas that you can explode during our wedding weekend:
- Lake Como
- Lake Lugano
The cities of Lugano and Como are 30-40min apart.
Lugano is in the Italian part of Switzerland and Como is in Italy. There is just a border that separates the two areas and it is very easy to go across the border - don’t forget your passport!
